Foran Lieph was the son of the salarian who grew to become one of the most prominent political figures in the Citadel's early history, Tyrin Lieph. Foran had hatched while his father's home was under siege, as he had been pursued by the Salarian Union for dereliction of duty. Tyrin had threatened to kill his newborn if he was not allowed to go free. Eventually, Tyrin was granted amnesty, and he raised Foran by himself on the Citadel. Foran was killed in action shortly after enlisting in the military to fight in the Rachni Wars. Foran's death led to a series of universe-altering events that culminated in the Dezban massacre.
