Gordin Jahxz is one of the few batarians residing on the Citadel, and is also a member of the even more rare batarian Citadel Security Officers. Gordin is not trusted by most residents or even other Csec officers, all because of his origins within the Batarian Hegemony. The young officer is under privileged and struggles within the ranks, but manages to survive in Citadel Politics.
Jhaxz is not like most of his kind, as he is free spirited, just, respects all, and honors his call of duty with strict devotion. Despite his effort, Jhaxz is still seen as an underling by most Csec officials, even those aware of his skill set. Gordin doesn't mind the mistreatment, as he enjoys patrolling the Citadel more than any desk job, and for that matter, any other occupation.

Early Life[]
Gordin Jhaxz was born into a wealthy military family within the Batarian Hegemony, and when he was young, the Batarians closed their embassy on the Citadel. While most of his family grew to hate most other races, especially the humans, Gordin sparked interest in Galactic affairs and culture early on. He earned disapproval from most of his family, but his father sought to use it against the other races, thinking to create a diplomat out of him. The young Jhaxz showed no interest in diplomacy.
Hegemony Military[]
Gordin joined the batarian military early on, for he had a philosophy of duty and self-sacrifice. He gained the rank equivalent to a sergeant or quarters master, known as a Parthian. He was well liked and respected among his subordinates and overseers, but most of his career consisted of spreading propaganda, cutting short ends, and desk work. His pride was injured, his morals scarred, and his will angry.
Gordin abandoned the Hegemony when he was overseeing an operation of escorting prisoners(Only one committed a serious offense) to a "maximum security prison" just inside batarian space, which was actually a death camp. Gordin convinced his peers to leave for Citadel space, and released all of the prisoners. During the journey, however, one of the prisoners, a convicted murderer attempted to kill Gordin with his own weapon, but he was gunned down by Bagern Teritor, Gordin's second in command.
