Lieutenent Joseph 'Falcon five-nine' King was an Alliance N7 Commando who served the Alliance for four years before being executed by Cerberus on a batarian slaver ship. Born on a station orbiting Saturn in the Sol System, King lived an average life. His father was a police officer and his mother a C-Sec officer on the Citadel. When he reached age twenty in 2180 CE, he entered the Alliance Navy in officer candidate school, and quickly became an N7 lieutenant. His first posting was on Eden Prime, where he worked as a guard commander. During the attack, he helped evacuate the governor of the colony and multiple civilians, but suffered major injuries to his legs, requiring them to be replaced by prosthesis. He also met (and subsequently became friends with) Sgt. Maria de Wilden, who happened to be on leave there, and who saved his life.
Two years later, he was back in action as a Corsair. After destroying three slaver ships, he allowed himself to be captured by batarian slavers in order to buy time for his squad to get to safety. He was captured and beaten for two years until the ship he was on was ambushed by Cerberus operatives, one of whom turned out to be his friend, de Wilden. Cerberus saved him but then executed him after learning he was N7. This subsequently caused Maria de Wilden to turn against Cerberus. King's body was spaced. He was listed as MIA for two more years until the Alliance marked him dead.
