The Persian project was an Alliance and privately funded project, started in 2173 CE, that was created in order to create what the Alliance deemed, super soldiers. The majority of the soldiers who were enrolled in the program were Alliance soldiers who had suffered disciplinary actions. Known soldiers who were enrolled were, Sarah Lance, Joel Titan, Rachel Wother, and Wayne Fellows. The project was shut down months after the first procedure, the four surviving soldiers became a squad that did elite missions. The project was canceled after the first round of tests and the squad became known as the Immortals.
