Riflerailgun

The X1 Railgun is a railgun designed by Woodel Industries. Designed by Woodel industries, the X1 Railgun was created to combat the Rachni during the Rachni war, as it was the first, and last, of the Woodel's X series. The rifle fires projectiles going faster than any other rifle on the market at the time, and can be replaced with Incendiary rounds to penetrate the Rachni's tough exoskeleton. The X1 uses a highly unstable energy core which is cooled, then heated when ready to fire. The energy core appears red, and when all energy from inside the core is charged, there is enough energy to fire up to eighteen shots from one energy core. Each shot is placed in a chamber. When loaded with the tap of a button, a slot opens, allowing each bullet entrance into the spring. When one is shot, another falls in, and eighteen rounds can be fired. Upon eighteen shots being released, a small valve at the "barrel" of the rifle opens, allowing the energy left in the core to be released, to prevent an overload, and explosion. The rifle has a holographic scope, like many sniper rifles, and many screens for keeping the rifle in good condition. Located behind the trigger are two screens. One shows ten lines. If the lines are all red, the weapon needs to be reloaded, and if they are all green, that means the weapon hasn't been fired yet. The more the weapon fires, the more the red increases, and eventually needs to be reloaded. The other screen behind the rifle displayed the same readings, in a different way. Another screen, close to the heartbeat detector, mentioned later, shows the power levels for the Heartbeat detector and scope.

The Heartbeat detector is a radar that detects heartbeat from anywhere in a one 100 foot radius. It is a collapsable screen, the largest of all, that shows unknown heartbeats as yellow, and known friendlies as green.
